What we cannot do
We cannot carry out personal genealogy research, translate or transcribe individual records, or give legal advice about nationality. For records, the free portals listed in our Czech and Slovak records hub and the archives themselves are the best starting points. For nationality questions, see our citizenship guide and contact the Czech and Slovak authorities or a qualified lawyer.
